Is it worth replacing worn-out steel gravity feeds with new ones? The answer is not worth it. There is an alternative: lining of worn out gravity pipes with polyurethane. It is cheaper, more profitable and much safer!
Due to its high wear resistance, polyurethane lining is used in a gravity system (grain lines, sectors (corner grain flows), separators, adders), as well as in places with intensive grain movement – elevator heads, elevator shoe receiving trays, any equipment surfaces that can be erased. Lining is the treatment of the working surface of the equipment with a material that is resistant to chemical, mechanical, thermal, and physical action. Lining with a polyurethane sheet is done using an adhesive, bolts or a combination method. The material replaces well milling products made of steel, rubber or polyethylene. Due to its long service life and cost, polyurethane becomes the optimal solution for solving problems with wiping equipment surfaces.
